Cabrillo College's Journalism program is designed to give students hands-on
experience in print journalism.

It prepares students for jobs in journalism that don't require a bachelor's degree. Possible career opportunities include working as a stringer for a newspaper, producing newsletters for companies and organizations, free-lancing as a writer, or working as a photojournalist or in newspaper layout. Cabrillo's program offers a one-year Certificate of Achievement and a two-year Associate in Science Degree, as well as a two-year Associate in Arts Degree and/or transfer credit to four-year institutions for higher degrees.
