Please take note:

For Math and English Assessment:
We are not a drop in center and we do not take reservations for scheduled sessions. Seating is first, come first served to the pre-scheduled assessment sessions.  Seating begins 30 minutes prior to the start time.  See the Assessment Calendar below for Assessment sessions. Choose a date, plan ahead and come early! 

For Math and English Assessment Testing with accommodations:  we cannot provide accommodations during a regular assessment session.  Please call our office for more information and to make arrangements. 831.479.6165.

For ESL Assessment:  reservations are NOT required.

Requirements before Assessment:

  • Orientation: For Math and English: you are required to complete the online orientation before you come to assess. Complete orientation online at https://sirena.cabrillo.edu.  Print the Certificate of Completion.  Bring the certificate with you every time you attend an assessment. If you are unable to print the certificate, then we can verify before you get in line for the assessment.
  • Picture ID is required.
  • Know your social security number or your Cabrillo student ID number.

Things to know before you come:

  • Assessment results will be in your Cabrillo file 24 hours after the assessment.
  • Assessments are offered at:
    • Aptos: 6500 Soquel Drive, SAC West 200
    • Watsonville Center: 318 Union Street, A350, unless otherwise noted
  • The assessment is proctored at a computer station. Electronic devices including cell phones and calculators are not allowed.
  • In respect to others, the Assessment Center is a fragrance-free zone: strong cologne, perfume or body odor will not be tolerated in the Assessment Center. If this is an issue, you will be asked to leave and return at a different time. 
  • In an effort to prevent disease, we request that you to wash your hands before and after the assessment. 
  • Professional language and behavior is expected at all times.
  • Parking is enforced.  You can park in any student lot and buy a $4 parking permit from the machines located in each lot
  • THE RETEST POLICY: You may test twice in a six month period.  You must wait one-week between the initial test and the retest. Exception: you may not reassess if you enrolled and remained in a math class and received a letter grade or a "W"
