All prerequisites for math, English composition, and science courses with math prerequisites, as stated in the course descriptions of the college catalog and schedule of classes, will be strictly enforced at the time of a student’s registration.
Students who do not meet the prerequisites according to the college’s records will not be permitted to register for the course.
Students who believe they have met a prerequisite via courses completed at another institution or another college’s assessment are strongly advised to have all official documentation on file well in advance of registration. This will minimize registration delays.
Students may fax unofficial copies of transcripts, grade reports, or assessment placement results strictly for the purposes of clearing prerequisites prior to registration to the counseling office at (831)477-5243. Such documents must indicate your name and the college at which you took the class or assessment. Assessment placement scores must indicate a clear course placement at that college, not raw assessment scores.
Include with the fax a cover note including your name, your Cabrillo ID number, date of birth, the classes you are attempting to register for, and a daytime phone number. Indicate that you’d like a counselor to enter the necessary information into your Cabrillo record to allow registration. You can request a call back once the information has been entered.
