Mothers and Daughters: Picking up the Pieces

The mother daughter relationship is one of the most passionate that a woman will ever experience. It is a source of love and comfort; as well as angst and inadequacy. A daughter may spend her life trying to win her mother’s approval or scorning it. This relationship is the foundation from which we define ourselves and sets the coursefor all of our subsequent relationships. The loss of our mother often leaves us feeling adrift, without direction.

This class will explore some of the dynamics of the mother daughter relationship. Through our shared experiences, the goal will be to identify and smooth out some of our own rough edges, as we continually work towards becoming our own kind mothers.

Participants should bring a lunch.
