  • Reminder-there are 2 Financial Aid disbursements per semester. You will not be awarded for waitlisted classes, only for classes you are currently registered in at the time of payment. Once waitlist courses are added, your awards may be adjusted.

There are many ways to pay for college...

There are even options where someone else will foot the bill for you, through cash awards, grants and scholarships. Some programs are based on financial need, although certainly not all. It’s possible to receive scholarships for school on a competitive basis, with consideration given to academic promise, scholastic achievement and your student potential.

Financial aid can help you pay for mandatory college fees, textbooks, transportation, room and board and other educational expenses while attending Cabrillo. It would be well worth your time to explore what’s available and apply for appropriate programs. These include:

Textbooks

Be sure to calculate the cost of textbooks into your budget, as these required materials are one of the biggest expenses you’ll face at Cabrillo. The good news is there are several programs that can offer some relief if funds are short: a textbook rental program from the bookstore, textbooks on reserve at the library, the Borrow-A-Book program, and Extended Opportunity Programs and Services (EOPS) or Fast Track to Work book vouchers.
