Student Health Services (SHS) provides students with medical services, crisis and short-term personal counseling, and referrals to community resources. Appointments can be made for acute illnesses and well care (including physical assessments and immunizations), routine laboratory tests, women's and men's reproductive health needs, and personal counseling. Many services are provided free of charge to enrolled students; nominal charges apply for lab testing, medications, and immunizations. For minor injuries, walk-in patients are prioritized as appropriate.

We welcome students of all backgrounds, ages, and sexual orientations. We provide a safe environment for learning about your health needs and discovering your wellness potential.

For an appointment:

  • Walk in to Room 912
  • Phone: 831-479-6435

PERSONAL COUNSELING

Short-term personal counseling is available to all students by appointment. Referrals to community resources will be made for those wanting or needing ongoing care.

For more information about emotional health and wellness, go to ULifeline.

SEXUAL HEALTH SERVICES FOR WOMEN AND MEN

SHS offers counseling and testing for pregnancy and sexually transmitted infections (STIs). We also provide condoms, emergency contraception, birth control method counseling and supplies, and annual well woman (pelvic) exams. See above for information on how to schedule an appointment.

We are a Family PACT provider! Come to Student Health Services to see if you are eligible for this program.

There are 20 million new sexually transmitted infections (STIs) each year. Photo of concerned young man. April is STD Awareness Month.
