What is a Learning Community?
A Learning Community is a fun, exciting, and supportive learning environment where students:
A full time, one smester program desgined to accelerate student sucess through a supportive learning environment and several classes that focus on the areas of team management, self-knowledge, communication, and English.
The fast track to a career as a Certified Medical Assistant in just four semesters.
Every office needs a computer applications expert, and it can be you! Earn a Business Information Worker certificate in only two semesters, and start your career. Develop expertise in Microsoft Office, business technology, and other high demand skills to be ready to work in any business office, while getting the added support of a learning cohort. Members of this learning community are guaranteed enrollment in all required CABT courses.
Students that desire to transfer to a four year college or university work closely with a career-related mentor and a counselor while learning about US Latino experience and social justice themes.
A two semester program that helps student's transition into college, while completing math and English!
Other Types of Learning Communities:
More sophisticated reading assignments, and exposure to more advanced material. Emphasizing challenging writing assignments with an "out-of-the-classroom" approach to material!
FREE one-week intensive math review designed to prepare students for their upcoming math course or to retake the math placement test.
MESA provides academic support for students interested in math, science or engineering with the goal of transferring to a four-year institution!
STEM provides academic support for students interested in science, technology, engineering, and math with the goal of earning a certificate, or transferring to a four-year institution.
